Each spring, an Azalea Society chapter or a group of interested persons hosts a convention, and invites all our members and their friends to attend. Each convention gives you a chance to see gardens in that area, hear talks and see slide shows about azaleas, renew old friendships and make new ones, buy hard-to-find varieties of azaleas at good prices, and be a part of the annual business meeting and election of officers. Think of the convention as an Azalea Society birthday party, along with a several day immersion into azaleas.

Friday, May 4 - Sunday, May 6, 2012 are the tentative dates of our next convention, Appalachian Spring, in Asheville, North Carolina. It is a joint convention, co-hosted by the Vaseyi Chapter of the Azalea Society and the Southeastern Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society. Reservations may be made at the convention hotel, the Crowne Plaza Resort, One Resort Drive, Asheville, North Carolina 28806, with special convention room rates starting at $99.00.
