3 ¾’ x 3 ¾’ (2 ½’ x 2 ½’ in 7 years), intermediate habit. Buds white with deep purplish-pink (near 58D). Flowers bicolor: white with deep purplish-pink (near 58D) margins of varying widths and small bright deep pink blotch. Single with 5 wavy-edged lobes, openly funnel-shaped, 2-3 per head, 2 ¾” x 1” long. Blooms heavily during mid-May in Springfield, VA. Calyx green, 0.2” long. Leaves semi-glossy, moderate yellow-green (near 147B), hairless. Leaf shape: elliptic, broadly acute apex, rounded base, downcurved edges, 1.75” x 0.8” wide. Plant and bud hardy to 0°F, at least.
