3-4’ tall, open, upright, stoloniferous. Flower white, white blushed pink, or white blushed purple, occasionally pale yellow. Tubular-funnel shape, 1 ½” wide, 4-10 per truss. Blooms midseason, opening at the same time as the leaves unfurl. Very fragrant. Leaves bright bluish-green, smooth. Leaf shape: obovate or oblong obovate, somewhat small. Hardy to -15 F. . Native to coastal plains from southern Pennsylvannia and Delaware south to South Carolina and Georgia. Found in light sandy soils.
