To 15’, non-stoloniferous. Fragrant creamy-yellow, yellow, gold, or light orange flowers with strawberry-red tubes. Tubular-shaped, held in trusses of 8-15. Blooms early, March to April, with flowers opening either before or with the leaves. Medium-sized foliage is covered with short, raspy hairs. Easy to grow. Hardy to -15 F. Native to southeast North America.
