1 1/2' x 3' wide, slow-growing, compact. Flowers white with purplish-red flakes and stripes and a green throat; occasionally white with broad purplish-red margins; some purplish-red selfs. Single, open funnel-shaped, with rounded, overlapping lobes and wavy edges, 1 ½-2”/3-3 ¾”. Blooms late (early June in Oak Hill, VA). Leaves rounded, medium size. Zone 7, at least. 'Fujinishiki' x 'Tamaorihime'. BG 0873. Translation: Wealthy Sparrow or Sparrow of Fortune. |
