| 3’ tall x 4’ wide with an intermediate habit. Buds white with varying sectors and flecks of vivid purplish-red (67B), deep purplish-pink (67C), or strong purplish-pink ((67D). Flowers white with varying sectors and flecks of vivid purplish-red (67B), deep purplish-pink (67C), or strong purplish-pink ((67D). Dorsal blotch of strong purplish-red (67A or light yellow-green (145C) or a combination of the two colors. Hose-in-hose with 10 wavy lobes, funnel-shaped, 2 ¾” wide x 1 ½” long, 2-3 per cluster. Blooms early-midseason (late April in Vienna, VA). Foliage moderate yellow-green (146B), semiglossy. Leaves elliptic, with a cuneate base , broadly acute apex, and flat margins. 1 ½” long x 1” wide. Zone 7, hardy to 0 F. Heat tolerant to 110 F. Named for one of the Cosby siblings who created an expansive azalea and rhododendron garden in Rockville, Virginia, and donated it to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.
