3’ tall x 3’ wide with an intermediate habit. Buds Deep Pink (52B). Flowers in tints of Deep Pink (52B & C) and Strong Pink (52D & lighter) with a small blotch of Vivid-Red (51A). Double with buds that look like tea roses, broad-funnel shaped, up to 25 (6 + 8 + 6 + 5) rounded, overlapping lobes with frilly edges, 2 3/4” wide x 1 1/2” long, 3-5 per cluster. Blooms early midseason (late April in Oak Hill, VA). Flowers fade in sun. Calyx Moderate Yellow-Green (132B), 3/8” long. Foliage matte Strong Yellow-Green (143A). Leaf shape: elliptic, cuneate base, acuminate tip, concave (side-to-side), downcurved (base to tip), up to 1 1/2” long x 3/4” wide. Zone 7, at least. Selection number: RBS 52.
