1 ½’ tall x 1 ½’ wide with a dense habit. Buds Strong Red (47B) with a creamy-white base. Flowers bicolor: White to Strong Pink (lighter than 48C) center with Deep Yellowish-Pink (47C) margins of varying widths. Single with petaloid stamens, funnel-shaped, rounded, overlapping lobes with frilly edges, 2 ½” wide x 2 ¼” long, 1-3 per cluster. Blotch is a faint yellow-green. Blooms early midseason (early May in Oak Hill, VA). Calyx Strong Yellow-Green (141C), 1/8” long. Foliage Moderate Yellow-Green (138A), semiglossy. Leaves elliptic with a rounded base and broadly acute tip, concave (side-to-side), downcurved (base-to-tip), up to 1 ½” long x 1” wide. Zone 7; hardy to 0 F. Selection number: RBS 75.
