3’ tall x 3’ wide with an intermediate habit. Buds strong purplish-pink (62A) shading to very pale purple (69A) at the base. Flowers very pale purple (69A) shading to strong purplish-pink (62A) at the margins, more pronounced on the outer lobes, with strong purplish-pink (63C) speckling on the 3-4 dorsal lobes. Single, funnel-shaped, semidouble with 15 rounded, wavy lobes, 2 ¾” wide x 1 ½” long, 2-3 per cluster. Blooms midseason (early May in Vienna, VA). Calyx strong yellow-green (144B), 1/8” long, Pistil rarely present, does not set seed. Stamens often distorted. Foliage moderate yellow-green (146B). Leaves elliptic with cuneate base, broadly acute apex, flat margins, 2” long x ¾” wide. Zone 7/Hardy to 0 F.‘Rebecca Taffet’(Klimavicz) x ‘James Stewart’ (Stewart). Named by Barbara Simone Kirkwood, nee Girls, for the three generations of women with Simone as a maiden or middle name.
