Flowers variable: 1) white with Strong Red (51A) and Strong Pink (50C) lobes, sectors, stripes and lines and a Strong Yellow-Green blotch (144C); 2) fukurin: Strong Pink (50C) with an irregular white margin and ModeratePurplish-Red (58B) blotch; 3) bicolor: white with a Strong Red (51A) margin; 4) Strong Red (51A) selfs with a Moderate Purplish-Red (58B) blotch. Single, broad funnel-shaped with rounded, overlapping lobes and wavy edges, 3 1/2” wide x 2 3/4” long, 1-3 per cluster. Blooms midseason (mid May in Oak Hill, VA). Calyx Moderate Yellow-Green (138B), 1/4” long. Foliage matte Moderate Yellow-Green (137C). Leaf shape: elliptic with a cuneate base and broadly acute tip, concave side-to-side, downcurved base-to-tip, up to 2 3/4” long x 1 1/2” wide. Zone 7.
