| Flowers highly variable: 1) white with a green throat; 2) very pale purplish-pink, some with dark purplish-pink markings and green deep in the throat; 3) bicolor: moderate to dark purplish-pink with white centers; 4) fukurin = moderate to dark purplish pink with irregular white margin; 5) strong purplish-pink selfs. Single, funnel-shaped, with broadly overlapping, widely elliptical (star-shaped) lobes, strongly reflexed and keeled so as to appear pointed, medium sized. Blooms late (Satsuki late season). Foliage dark green. Leaf shape: medium size. Zone 7. Translation: White Lotus. Sport of ‘Karenko’. Registered 1987/1989. | |||||
