Zone 7, at least ‘Harugasumi’ sport
Upright, moderate rate of growth. Flowers variable: 1) white with numerous flakes of pink, 2) often bicolor: white with light to vivid purplish-pink margins. Single, funnel-shaped, with rounded, broadly overlapping lobes and wavy margins, 2-2 ½” wide. Blooms Satsuki early to midseason (early June in Oak Hill, VA). Leaves somewhat narrow, medium in size. Hardy to -5/Zone 7, at least. ‘Harugasumi’ sport. Translation: “Moonlight”. BG 0367. Registered 1964 and 1966. Page 251.
