2 ½’ x 3 ½’ wide, dense. Buds and flowers of yellowish-pink (48B), blending with strong pink (48C&D) and random areas of creamy-white, with strong yellow-green (145A) blotch over white on dorsal lobes, flower inside. Red style and filaments. Single with 5-6 wavy-edged lobes of heavy substance, broad funnel-shape, 2-3 per terminal, 3 ½” x 2” tall. Blooms heavily, mid May in Springfield, VA. Calyx strong yellow-green (143C), ¼” long. Leaves semiglossy, moderate olive-green (137C) in spring, dark yellow-green(147A) in summer. Leaf shape: elliptic, broadly acute apex, rounded base, flat edges, 2” x 1”. Plant and bud hardy in Zone 7; to 0?F, at least. Named for Joseph Klimavicz, a friend and fellow hybridizer.
