| 2 ½’ x 3’ wide, vigorous. Flowers intense reddish-purple. Single, funnel shape with narrow, pointed, slightly overlapping lobes, 1 ½-2” wide. Blooms abundantly and late (early June in Oak Hill, VA = Satsuki late midseason). Leaves glossy dark green. Juvenile leaf shape slender, twisted, rolled inwards (Rinpu type), obovate, medium in size. Zone 7; hardy to 0 or -5 F. Cross: ‘Reigyoku’, Satsuki x ‘Rinpu’, Satsuki. Translation: Glory of the Purple Dragon. | |||||
