3’ x 1 ¾’ wide (5’ x 3’ in 17 years), intermediate habit. Buds strong red (39A) with off-white along midribs. Flower inside deep yellowish-pink (39B) shading to off-white center of each lobe, with heavy strong purplish-red (63A-B) spotting on top three lobes. Flower outside deep yellowish-pink (39B) with off-white on midribs. Hose-in-hose with 5+5 wavy-edged lobes, broad funnel-shape, 3 per truss, 1 ¼” x 1” long. Blooms abundantly midseason; May in Derwood, MD. Calyx green with white pubescent hairs, 0.2” long. Leaves semiglossy, dark yellowish-green (139A) above with white hairs below. Leaf shape: elliptic, broadly acute apex, flat edges, 0.6” x 0.25” wide. Plant and bud hardy to +2F.
