2 ¾’ x 1 ½’ wide (4’ x 2 ½’ in 17 years), intermediate habit. Buds strong purplish-red (63A). Flower inside strong purplish-red (63A) with moderate purplish-red (70A) spotting on upper lobes. Flower outside strong purplish-red (63A). Semidouble with 10-12 (5+5 – 5+7) wavy-edged lobes, broad funnel-shape, 3 per truss, 1 ¾” x 1 ¼” long. Stamens somewhat rare. Blooms abundantly in early season (April in Derwood, MD). Leaves semiglossy, moderate yellow-green (146A) above, (146C) below. Leaf shape: elliptic, broadly acute apex, cuneate base, flat edges, 1.4” x 0.5” wide. Zone 7, at least. Named for the hybridizer's youngest sister.
