2’ x 2’ wide (1.7’ x 1.7’ in 9 years, intermediate habit. Buds and flowers deep yellowish-pink (47C), more concentrated at the edges, shading to white at the base, yellow-green throat, small rose spotting on dorsal lobe. Hose-in-hose with 5 + 5 wavy-edged lobes and 5 petaloid stamens, also double, broad funnel-shape, 3 per truss, 1.4” x 1” long. The pistil is extremely long with a bright green stigma. The inner petals point forward, giving the flower a more formal appearance. Blooms midseason; mid-May in Derwood, MD. Leaves glossy, moderate olive-green (147A) above. Leaf shape: elliptic, broadly acute apex, cuneate base, flat, 1” x ½”. Plant and bud hardy to +2F, at least. 4' x 3' in 15 years in Springfield, Va.
